Last month my daughter Deb and I went to Ellen's home and with her and two other friends cast these leave in concrete. We formed them in a plastic box so we could carry them home to cure but when we lifted them they cracked. I was able to salvage these three but the others are set aside in pieces and will be use in a mosaic as fossils. These will get cleaned and sealed and used as ornaments in my garden. Later I will make more and use a different mixture of concrete and NOT move them for one day so they have a good amount of time to set up and not crack I may also use some color in my mixture. The leaves we use for the big one is a kale leaf and the other two are leaves from South Carolina but don't know what it is.
You are so generous in sharing your creative acts! These are wonderful treasures from nature and I look forward to seeing them as ornaments in your garden! By the way, I am going to link your blog to mine! Thanks for linking me! Hallelujah Truth!
