PIRATE and JUNKYARD CAT

In September 2004, amidst the hurricanes raging that year in Florida, I took a doll class with Shirley Doogan from  Australia. She was an excellent teacher of polymer clay and I learned much from her. I took a second class the following year and made a beautiful Santa but here are the postings of the 2 dolls I started in 2004 and finished 9 years later...

Here is my pirate with his hat, hook on left arm, peg leg and his sword peeking out from his side.

A close up of his face showing his gold tooth and his eye patch

He is a very successful pirate as you can see from the jewels on his fingers

He lost one hand from a vicious duel with another pirate..

 His sword and scabbard

And his sword, ready to be used if necessary

A perfect fit,,,

Along with the pirate we made a pirate cat. I decided to make mine a Junkyard Cat so he has a bite where another cat took a piece out of his ear while in a fight, his tail droops from being broken, he has one droopy eye and his tongue hangs out of his mouth..

But he has a beautiful hat with a fancy feather

and a sword of his own
