Burnt Offerings

*****How I made it*****

I used a mixture of glue, gel medium and water to make a paste to stiffen the paper so I could shape it

Hand made paper

I used a glue gun to make design on parchment paper.

Hot glue designs

Because the metallic rubs would not adhere to the glue I gessoed them first

Gessoed first then  metallic rubs

Then using a heat gun I melted synthetic fabrics until they had holes in them

Burned fabric

Finally after getting the fabric with the right amount of holes I painted the background plywood with metallic paints and adhered the assembled pieces on using a good white glue
